In the first set he broke his opponent’s serves twice, gaining an advantage of 4-1. When he won the next couple of matches after that, the Kazakh began to come for a comeback. Then Bublik got another chance to take a break from serve however Hurkacz was just too reliable for his own good. The World No. 10 had a couple of set points during the next match on the opponent’s server but was unable to take the match. In the next game, he was able to succeed in serving the set by himself.
Hurkacz took advantage of an opening break early in the set and took the lead at 3-1. In contrast to the first match, Bublik was unable to stop the Polish’s serve this time. The 25-year-old held his advantage throughout the game to prevail the set 6-4 7-4, 4-4.
With his history encounters with Hurkacz The Greek will be highly positive about the chances he has.
