A man attacked passersby with a knife near a train station in Frankfurt, Germany, and three people were seriously injured.
A total of four people were injured. The injured were hospitalized and the attacker was also detained. The area of the main city station is cordoned off.
Local authorities told reporters that the suspect was a man, and called the rest of the information about his identity, which the media cited, premature. Thus, there was a preliminary denial of the report that the perpetrator was under the influence of drugs.
In addition, it is still unclear what caused the attack – whether the victims were somehow related to each other or whether the attacker attacked the first passersby he saw.
The loud knife attack took place a day earlier in Turkish Istanbul: three Russian citizens were injured there. They are hospitalized and their lives are not in danger.
