A man was detained in France after sending 3,600 text messages and threatening his ex-girlfriend

A man who sent 3,600 text messages to his ex-girlfriend has been arrested in France. In them he threatened to kill her.

The incident took place in November in the commune of Villeurbanne in eastern France. Reportedly, the 26-year-old man called his former roommate many times, keeping her awake and threatening to kill her. In addition, he sent the girl 3,565 text messages over 10 days.

The young man was detained on January 4. He has already pleaded guilty. However, French authorities have decided to release him temporarily. The trial in this case will take place later.

Earlier, unknown offenders stole hundreds of bottles of wine worth about 350 thousand euros in the Saône-et-Loire department of eastern France.
