A Missouri resident was arrested for killing a pregnant mother of 2 children on Thanksgiving

A man from Missouri was arrested for killing a 22-year-old pregnant woman and her future child on Thanksgiving.

27-year-old Damion Delgado stabbed the mother of two children Amethyst Killian more than 20 times: mainly in the head, neck and abdomen.

According to the authorities, the motive for the crime is still unclear. “It was a very brutal murder,” Prosecutor Tim Lomar said during a press briefing Thursday. According to Lomar, Killian and Delgado met online and engaged in “dangerous activities” the night of the crime, but did not go into detail. It is known that Delgado was found thanks to reports on the phone of the deceased. Killian disappeared on the morning of 26 November after leaving the house for cigarettes. When she did not return, her boyfriend and stepfather went in search.

About 20 hours later, the woman’s purse and clothes were found outside her house. Then Amethyst’s relatives contacted the police – and soon the officers found the woman’s body in the bushes. Lomar added that Delgado, who is now in custody with a $1 million bail, has “almost no” criminal record.
