A special prison for IS leaders imprisoned in Syria will be built on a US military base

The leaders of the terrorist organization IS imprisoned in Syria will be transferred to a special prison at the US military base at Al-Tanf in the republic. Its construction has already begun.

This decision was jointly made by the authorities of the United States and Great Britain. The parties stepped up construction work near the Syrian-Jordanian-Iraqi border. The project will be completed in 25 days. Representatives of London and Washington will contact the militants.

The terrorists are currently serving their sentences in one of the Kurdish prisons on the territory of Haseke. For the past few years, the leaders of the armed formation have been held there. What prompted the United States and Great Britain to initiate the project is not reported.
