Alec Baldwin has reached a settlement with the family of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Hutchins was killed while filming the film “Rust” Baldwin shot a prop gun.
The film, whose executive producer is Hutchins”widowerer” Matthew continues filming in January.
The lawsuit that led to the settlement was a case in which the plaintiffs the plaintiffs accused Baldwin and his producers as well as others of violating the industry’s standards.
Matthew Hutchins, Halyna Hutchins husband, however, stated that everyone involved believes in the possibility that this was caused by an accident.
“I am not interested in taking part in recriminations or assigning to blame.” Matthew Hutchins said in a statement. He added that the continued filming was an opportunity for him to “pay an ode” to his wife’s final project.
Baldwin posted his response in a post on Instagram posting that reads “Everyone has held the distinct determination to do what’s the best for the son of Halyna” throughout this settlement.
“We are thankful to all who helped in an end to this devastating and painful incident,” the actor said.
