US fighters intercepted two Russian military aircraft off the coast of Alaska.
This is with reference to the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) reports The Washington Times.
It was reported there that Russian aircraft, which were identified as IL-38, which are part of the marine reconnaissance patrol, were spotted 80 kilometers from Unimak Island.
According to NORAD spokesman Captain Cameron Hiller, this is the ninth such incident off the coast of North America in 2020.
It is noted that Russian airplanes did not violate the airspace of the United States or Canada.
