Turkey is going to review its policy towards the U.S. due to problems with Russia. This is reported by the American edition of Bloomberg with reference to sources familiar with the situation.
According to the agency’s interlocutors, there are serious disagreements between Russia and Turkey due to the situation in Syria and the conflict in Libya. In addition, the recent aggravation of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh has also contributed to increased tension between the two countries.
Sources point out that the combination of these factors contributes to the establishment of relations between Turkey and the United States. It is also noted that Turkey hopes that when Joe Biden, a candidate from the Democratic Party, becomes president, the USA will change its policy.
Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that relations with Russia continue to develop, despite the existence of a number of controversial issues. He emphasized that for Ankara, the relations with Russia are an important part of foreign policy.
