Anne Frank Memorial in Idaho desecrated with swastikas

A memorial dedicated to Anne Frank in Boise, Idaho, was desecrated with swastika stickers.

The memorial, which is run by the Wassmuth Center, was desecrated Tuesday, the organization said in a Facebook post. The stickers depicted swastikas with the words “We are everywhere.” Police are looking for the vandals. Fortunately, the monument was not seriously damaged – only a little cleaning was needed.

The Wassmuth Center was founded in 1996 to create a human rights monument, according to the organization’s Web site. In 2002, the Anne Frank Memorial for Human Rights in Idaho opened to the public, which the organization says is an educational park inspired by “faith in humanity.”
