A tropical storm, Faye, forms in the Atlantic Ocean and threatens to bring downpours and winds to the coast of North Carolina.
The storm will rage off the east coast until the end of the week. The main impact will be localized heavy rains in the coastal regions of the Middle Atlantic and New England, since the storm is unlikely to develop into a tropical hurricane.
Fei formed at North Carolina and is likely to bring rains, gusty winds and poor beach conditions for the weekend. Storm warning issued for parts of the coast from Cape May to Long Island. Flash floods may occur in some places.
