It’s official – baseball is back in the US. Baseball Major League season 2020 will resume after cancellation amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The club owners, the leadership of the league and the Association of players finally resolved all the problems and agreed on the dates for the resumption of the tournament. It was decided that the Major League would implement the schedule for the 2020 season without the participation of the Association of Players, as the union rejected a proposal to host 60 games this year.
In accordance with the agreement between the parties, the league has the right to set the duration of the schedule of its choice if the players are paid a full proportional salary. For the first time since March 12, baseball will return to the sports calendar – games will start after July 1. The playoffs were decided to be completed by the end of August.
