U.S. President Joe Biden intends to buy a hundred million doses of coronavirus vaccines from Pfizer and Moderna. It is reported by NBC News, citing a senior official of the new administration.
According to him, the purchase of vaccines will provide vaccination to almost all Americans by the end of the summer of this year. It is noted that so far the companies have already delivered about 400 million doses of their drugs.
Earlier, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) changed vaccination recommendations, allowing patients to mix different vaccines for the coronavirus. Under the new guidelines, patients will be able to swap one U.S.-approved COVID-19 vaccine for another between two doses in “exceptional situations.
