Joe Biden, who has been named the new U.S. president by the U.S. Electoral College, has announced that Pete Buttigic will be nominated for secretary of transportation. Biden issued a press release to that effect.
Buttigic is a young and talented executive. At age 29, he was elected mayor of South Bend, Indiana. Buttigic even ran for president of the United States this year, but lost the primary to Biden.
In a press release, Joe Biden noted not only the managerial qualities of the young politician, he also said that in his new position Buttijic will oversee job creation, infrastructure and equality and climate issues.
Earlier, Biden urged Americans to “turn the page, unite and heal. After a Democratic electoral victory, Biden reaffirmed his intention to be president for all Americans without exception.
