Biden offered Fauci a job in the new administration

Joe Biden, who announced himself a winner in the U.S. presidential election, said he intends to invite Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, to join his team.

According to Biden, he had already talked about it with the main U.S. infectious disease specialist the day before. The Democrat not only asked Fauci not to leave his post, but also offered the doctor the position of senior health advisor and joined the team that deals with the coronavirus.

Anthony Fauci worked for both Republican and Democrat presidents. By the way, in early November the current head of the White House, Donald Trump, threatened to fire Fauci for saying that the United States was in a difficult situation because of the coronavirus pandemic. Trump had previously expressed disapproval of the chief US infectious disease officer. He called the doctor an “idiot” and a “disaster” for the country.
