Former US vice president, presidential candidate Joe Biden proposed reforming the supply chain of goods to the United States and introducing restrictions on products from Russia and China.
A reform plan published on July 8 on Biden’s website notes that Washington and its allies need to reduce their dependence on Russian and Chinese imports to “protect critical infrastructure and supplies.”
If he wins the election, Biden promises to introduce targeted restrictions on imports from Russia and China, which supposedly pose a threat to US national security.
“No US ally should depend on the supply of critical goods from countries such as China and Russia. This means developing new approaches to supply chain security, ”the document says.
Currently, Democratic candidate Biden is considered the main competitor to incumbent US President Donald Trump. According to surveys conducted in June, he is supported by a total of 8% more Americans than the owner of the White House.
