Biden reveals plans for his vaccination

U.S. President-elect Joe Biden has revealed plans for his vaccinations. He promised that he would not vaccinate against coronavirus infection before those who are at risk.

“I don’t want to get ahead of the line, but I want to make sure that we can demonstrate to the American people that the vaccine is safe,” Biden said.

So far, there are several COVID-19 vaccines in the world. For example, two vaccines have been registered in Russia: Sputnik V and EpiVacCorona. On December 5, vaccination against coronavirus with Sputnik V started in Moscow. A COVID-19 vaccine produced by Pfizer/BioNTech has been registered in the U.S., with another Moderna vaccine on the way.

The U.S. remains the leader in the number of people infected with the coronavirus. Since the start of the pandemic, 16.9 million infected people have been identified in the country and more than 307,000 patients have died. Globally, more than 74.2 million cases have been diagnosed and 1.6 million people have died.
