The most likely Democratic candidate for the upcoming US presidential election in November, Joe Biden, said he was looking forward to the pre-election debate with incumbent President Donald Trump.
“I can’t wait to compare my mental abilities with the mental abilities of the person I compete with (in the election. – Ed.),” Said the 77-year-old politician during a speech in Delaware, answering the question if he wants to television debate with the American leader. His words are quoted by The Hill.
Biden and Trump are in absentia controversy, which on the part of the owner of the White House regularly goes into insults. Biden behaves more correctly, but at the same time he severely criticizes the current president.
Earlier, on June 28, Trump retweeted two mocking videos about his rival in the presidential race, former Vice President Joe Biden. In the video, the politician is presented sleepy and tired.
On June 26, Trump criticized Biden for a reservation about 120 million deaths from coronavirus in the US, calling the policy depressingly stupid.
Biden is currently considered Trump’s main rival in the presidential election in November 2020 and the most likely Democratic candidate. According to recent surveys by Real Clear Politics, Biden is supported by about 8% more Americans than Trump.
