Biden thought about appointing a black man to head the Pentagon

The candidate from the Democratic Party of the USA at the presidential election Joe Biden thought about the black man’s appointment as the head of the Pentagon. This is reported by the portal Axios with reference to sources familiar with the situation.

According to the newspaper, the public is seriously pressuring Trump’s team to appoint an African-American to one of the leading positions in the state. The leading candidate for this post is a four-star general, retired Lloyd Austin, who, if appointed, will be the first black man at the head of the Ministry of Defense.

It is noted that Austin was the head of U.S. Central Command until 2016.

Earlier, the Pentagon announced its support for Democrat Joe Biden during the transfer of power. The defense ministry said that they immediately begin to implement measures as part of the transfer of power to the new U.S. administration headed by Biden.

Regular presidential elections were held in the USA on November 3, 2020. At present, the counting of votes and proceedings on this issue are still ongoing. According to the media, Biden has gained the necessary number of votes to win the election, thus bypassing Trump. The Democrat has already proclaimed himself elected president of the United States. Trump, in turn, said that Biden has hurried to call himself the new leader of the country.
