Joe Biden, the president-elect of the United States, was vaccinated against the coronavirus.
The 78-year-old politician was vaccinated with a drug from Pfizer and BioNTech at ChristianaCare Hospital in Newark, Delaware. Also, according to Biden, his wife Jill got her first dose of the vaccine.
Biden said he got vaccinated to set an example for his fellow citizens and to show the safety of the drug. He said he hoped that people would start going to vaccination centers as soon as the vaccine was distributed.
However, the president noted, vaccine introduction is in its early stages, and warned Americans about the “long road.
