The U.S. Senate can combine dealing with the impeachment of former U.S. President Donald Trump and working for the American people, White House press secretary Jennifer Psaki said.
“The Senate can do several things at once, and senators can fulfill their constitutional responsibility while doing work for the American people.”
According to her, President Joe Biden will not interfere with the senators’ work on impeachment by giving them all the “mechanics” and “specifics” of the procedure.
Psaki also commented on Biden’s statement about the letter he received from Trump. According to her, this news should not be taken as a sign of an upcoming conversation with the former president. Biden has no plans to call the former head of state yet, she stressed.
