It would take Tehran several weeks to get enough enriched uranium for a nuclear bomb if Iran continues to violate the nuclear deal.
“We all know that Iran’s nuclear program is advancing rapidly. Tehran has lifted the restrictions imposed by the nuclear deal, including on the amount of enriched uranium,” Blinken said.
According to the U.S. secretary of state, the longer this all goes on, the shorter the period it will take to build a nuclear weapon.
“The agreement extended the period to a year or more. But it has now been reduced to a few months at best. And, if this trend continues, the period will shrink to a few weeks,” Blinken warned.
