Relations between the United States and Israel are based on shared values and interests.
U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said this in a meeting with Foreign Minister Yair Lapid in Rome.
“We have the same goals, but sometimes we disagree on tactics. I think we are quite frank with each other, as we should be,” Blinken said.
According to the American secretary of state, he will offer Lapid a more “hopeful future for everyone, Palestinians and Israelis alike.”
America supports expanding the Abrahamic Accords, he said. Washington also intends to help resolve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
