Brazilian president tests positive for coronavirus again

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaru passed a second test for coronavirus, the result of which again turned out to be positive. This was announced by the head of state.

According to the president, he feels well and has not had a fever for more than a week. The leader of the country also noted that his blood tests showed normal results, and the percentage of blood oxygen saturation rose to 98. Bolsonaru said that he did not have such common symptoms as breathing problems or loss of taste. He emphasized that he was treated with hydroxychloroquine.

For the first time, the President of Brazil reported a virus infection on July 7th. Then he himself discovered the first symptoms of the disease.

Earlier, the World Health Organization (WHO) stopped testing three drugs for coronavirus, including hydroxychloroquine. Studies of lopinavir and ritonavir have also been discontinued.

Brazil ranks second in all-time COVID-19 cases. More than 1.9 million cases of infection have been recorded there. Of these, more than a million people recovered, 74 thousand people died.
