Britain has answered whether it intends to confront the Taliban in Afghanistan

Britain is not going to support the movements opposing the Taliban in Afghanistan

A statement to this effect was made by the Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom, Dominic Raab. He said that Britain was watching the situation closely. Raab stressed that the Taliban controlled most of the country’s territory.
“I think it would be wrong to start supporting other groups now,” Raab said, RIA Novosti reported.

He said it is now necessary to adjust to the new reality that has emerged in the republic.

Earlier the Taliban announced about the capture of the entire territory of Afghanistan, including the previously uncontrolled Panjsher province. Resistance forces denied the latter statement. They announced that they were turning to guerilla warfare.
