Britain will respond harshly to Russia’s hostile actions, Raab said.

Britain wants to improve relations with Russia, but will respond harshly to hostile actions, British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said.

“We must adapt to the new threats we face, and we will do so, make it absolutely clear to Russia and other hostile states that we will hold them accountable, make them pay for malicious actions,” Raab said.

He stressed that Britain equally would like to improve relations and “will open the door of diplomacy wide” with a willingness to show “a better demeanor.”
