Broadway officially closed until January 2021

The lights went out at the theaters on Broadway on March 12th, and the ramp lights would remain off until January next year.

Broadway officially announces that all appearances will be canceled at least until the end of the year. On Monday, the Broadway League, representing the owners and producers of theaters, offered a refund and exchange of tickets purchased for all performances before January 3, 2021.

“The Broadway experience can be deeply personal, but, most importantly, shared. Broadway theaters will open only when they can safely take full houses. The safety of our actors, team, orchestra and audience is our top priority, and we look forward to returning to the stage whenever possible, ”said Thomas Schumacher, League Chairman.

Broadway theaters have planned 31 shows this season, including 8 new shows.
