Building Collapse in Miami: 99 People Missing

A building collapse in Miami leaves 99 people missing.

At least one person is missing. It is not known how many people were in the building at the time of the collapse. The cause of the accident remains unclear.

There are reports that migrants from Latin America are missing. Paraguayan officials said that relatives of the first lady of the country were among the missing.

Rescue workers have been unable to contact First Lady Silvana Lopez Moreira’s sister and son-in-law, as well as their three children and domestic workers.

The rescue operation managed to remove at least 35 people from the wreckage. Ten were examined by medics and two of them were sent to the hospital.

According to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the Fire and Rescue Service is still on the scene.
