Can you catch COVID in the pool: the answer is found

You can swim in a pool this summer without fear of catching the coronavirus COVID-19.

This is stated in the unofficial results of a study by Imperial College London.

According to scientists, chlorinated pools can neutralize viral particles in as little as 30 seconds, at least under laboratory conditions.

It is noted that the data have not yet been peer-reviewed and published. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has said since last summer that it is unlikely to catch “corona” in swimming pools, oceans or lakes.

According to the CDC, COVID-19 is mostly spread when people nearby inhale air with particles of the virus. The centers also recommend that everyone get vaccinated to keep themselves and their loved ones safe.
