Canada and the United States extend border closures until January 21

The United States and Canada have decided not to open the border for now. Restrictive measures will be extended until at least January 21, 2021. This was announced by the Canadian Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness William Blair.

We are talking about a ban on optional travel. Blair wrote on Twitter. He noted that this is a necessary measure in the realities of a pandemic.

The Canada-U.S. border was closed on March 21. Since then, all optional travel has been stopped.
