Canadian woman walked her husband on a leash because of government-imposed quarantine

A resident of Sherbrooke, Canada, walked her husband on a leash to avoid restrictions imposed by authorities in connection with the pandemic coronavirus.

As a result, law enforcement officers fined the couple $1,212 (about 90,000 rubles) for violating curfew. According to the Canadian woman, she was walking her dog near the house, but kept her spouse on a leash.

Recall that Canada has a nighttime curfew, which is in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. One of the few reasons residents are allowed to leave the house is to walk their dog.

More than 670,000 cases of coronavirus have been identified in Canada during the pandemic, and 17,000 people have died from the infection. At the end of last month, the disease nearly doubled to eight thousand new cases per day.
