Carnival cancels all cruises of American liners till the beginning of 2021

In its recent efforts to comply with coronavirus directives, the cruise company Carnival cancels all tours on U.S. liners until January 2021. During this time, cruise ships will not leave the American “ports of registry”.

Carnival states that the resumption of cruises may begin on January 31, using part of the fleet, which includes 16 ships, but the return to normal operation will be gradual. Initially, only ships in 3 ports will be used – Port Canaveral and Miami in Florida, as well as Galveston in Texas.

Seven other ports of registry, including Baltimore, Charleston, Jacksonville, Long Beach, Mobile, New Orleans and San Diego will be closed for cruise starts until February 28.

Carnival is selling an additional 57.4 million shares to offset losses caused by the pandemic.
