China will allocate $ 2 billion to countries affected by coronavirus over the next two years, Chinese President Xi Jinping said.
“In order to stimulate international cooperation against COVID-19, China will provide $ 2 billion over the next two years to help fight coronavirus and social and economic development in affected countries, especially in developing countries,” Xi Jinping said during 73- Session of the World Health Assembly.
Recall, the coronavirus pandemic began in the Chinese city of Wuhan, Hubei Province. The first cases of infection were recorded at the end of 2019. On December 31, Chinese authorities reported an outbreak of unknown pneumonia to the World Health Organization (WHO), and on January 22, the government quarantined the entire city.
March 11, WHO recognized that the spread of coronavirus in the world has reached the scale of a pandemic.
