Chinese spy gives U.S. data on COVID leak from Wuhan lab

China’s deputy security minister and one of the country’s leading spies, Dong Jingwei, secretly flew to the United States and passed secret data to U.S. authorities on the leak of a coronavirus from a laboratory in Wuhan and its origins.

This was reported by a number of Chinese and world publications.

If this information is true, then Dong Jingwei, who headed the counterintelligence, would be a top-level Chinese defector.

According to the press, it is likely that it was the data received from the Chinese spy about the coronavirus that prompted US President Joe Biden to announce a new investigation into the origin of COVID-19.

It is noted that Dong Jingwei may have knowledge of early coronavirus research, patterns of predicted COVID spread, and which governments and organizations funded research at the Wuhan lab.
