Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, who recently had a coronavirus, declared the inevitability of infection for every person. His words are reported by the publication Folha de Sao Paulo, RIA Novosti reports.

“I knew that one day I would get infected, unfortunately, I think that almost all of you will get infected someday,” he said. Bolsonaro stressed that he was at risk, and also expressed regret about the deaths due to the coronavirus. “People die every day for a number of reasons, this is life,” he concluded.

Bolsonaro reported the virus infection on 7 July. Then he himself discovered the first symptoms of the disease. On July 25, the President of Brazil spoke about his recovery.

Initially, 65-year-old Bolsonaro completely denied the coronavirus, and then did not begin to introduce serious measures to fight the infection. In addition, he actively criticizes provisions that restrict trade and services in the country to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Brazil has the second highest incidence of COVID-19 cases of all time. The country has recorded more than 2.6 million cases of infection. Of these, more than 1.9 million people recovered, another 92 thousand died.
