Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys quarterback, is clearly eager to return to the field.
Prescott suffered a thumb injury during Dallas’ loss to Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 1. However, he is now feeling better after having thumb surgery and rehab.
He was so good that he told ESPN’s Lisa Salters that the team doctor will be approached about him starting to gripe and throw the football. Salters spoke to Prescott just before Monday Night Football’s matchup of the Cowboys with New York Giants.
Prescott is good at throwing and gripping the football, but when will he return to playing actual football in Dallas?
Salters reported that Prescott said, “A couple of weeks, I’m counting it as one of them.”
The Cowboys have a busy schedule. A big game in Los Angeles is expected to be followed by a Sunday Night Football matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Salters reported that Prescott might be considering returning sooner than expected, even though the Eagles and Rams are big matchups. The Dallas quarterback would not rule out Prescott playing next weekend against Washington Commanders.
Salters reported that “He isn’t ruling anything out”, and she mentioned that Prescott was specifically asked about her return in Week 4.2.
