The spiritual leader of the followers of Tibetan Buddhism, the Dalai Lama, will release his debut album, “Inner World” (Inner World), on its 85th birthday
The release date for the album, which will consist of 11 tracks, is scheduled for July 6. The tracks contain classic Buddhist mantras recited by the Dalai Lama mixed with new age music.
The album was created in collaboration with musicians Junel and Abraham Kunin from New Zealand. They invited the Dalai Lama to record an album many years ago, but then he refused. In 2015, they repeated their proposal, and the Dalai Lama unexpectedly agreed.
One of the tracks from the album called “Compassion” (Empathy) has already been posted on the Web.
