An expert has assessed the harm from a smartphone left at bedside overnight.
According to him, there is no scientific evidence that prolonged exposure to the phone can harm human health. He stressed that the conclusion of the World Health Organization (WHO) from 2014 states that no correlation between an increased risk of developing various diseases and the use of a smartphone has been found. Thus, the expert concluded that there is nothing wrong with keeping a gadget by the bedside.
Kuzmenko also advises not to look at the smartphone screen for a long time, lying on the bed, as it can harm your vision. In addition, the expert recommends not to use the phone for an hour before sleep.
Earlier, scientists of Lancaster University in the UK refuted the opinion that a long time spent for the screen of smartphones and other devices can harm the mental health of the user. During the study, they found that the time spent on the phone itself had no effect on the mental health of the participants.
