Iran’s ultraconservatives hail Ebrahim Raisi’s victory in the presidential election.

Conservative newspapers are full of jubilant headlines. The Resalat newspaper, for example, called the article about Raisi’s victory “The dawn of a new era.

At the same time, the press noted the “high voter turnout,” which was really only 48%. But about the “epic” participation of voters who came to vote despite the economic crisis and “enemy propaganda.”

Also, ultra-conservatives are happy that the Rouhani regime is over. In their view, the Rouhani administration was engaged in “fruitless foreign and domestic problems” and political persecution.
