Anne Hathaway looks unrecognizable on the set of her new project for Apple TV+ WeCrashed, based on the downfall of startup WeWork.
The 38-year-old actress, who plays WeWork CEO Adam Neumann’s wife, was filmed in New York City wearing the costume of Neytiri, the female humanoid from James Cameron’s sci-fi film Avatar.
Hathaway was joined on set by her fellow “Mean Girls” star America Ferrera in a mummy costume. The pair grabbed a quick bite to eat at a nearby diner, and America returned with a plate and cup to put on the table.
Note, the WeCrashed series will tell the infamous story of the rise and resounding fall of WeWork, a shared workspace startup. At one time, Goldman Sachs valued WeWork at $90 billion, though that value would later be drastically reduced, the New York Post reported. The startup collapsed after concerns about banned use by founder Adam Neumann surfaced in 2019 and he was forced to leave the company.
Jared Leto plays CEO Adam Neumann, while Hathaway plays his wife Rebecca. Ferrera’s role remains unknown.
