It is reported that 40 people infected with the Indian strain of the coronavirus were found on an Air India flight from Delhi to Tel Aviv.
Some of those infected, including new Bnei Menashe repatriates, have been quarantined and some have been hospitalized.
The flight was approved by a special decision – despite a general ban on flights to India.
According to the channel, many of the passengers showed signs of illness as early as the time of check-in.
In addition, about a hundred Bnei Menashe members who were about to repatriate were infected with the coronavirus and quarantined in New Delhi.
