Elon Musk, the American businessman and owner of Tesla and SpaceX, challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin to a conversation in the new social network Clubhouse, where all communication is done live with his voice.
Musk used Twitter to send an invitation to Putin to talk – he noted Putin’s official account in his post. Musk went on to write in Russian, “It would be an honor to talk to you.” At the same time, he did not specify the topics he wanted to discuss.
Kremlin officials later responded that Putin was interested in the offer and was considering his participation, but that he wanted to know exactly what issues Musk wanted to talk about.
Clubhouse is an audio social network where users can create shared rooms for up to a thousand people to talk together. For now, registration is only available on the iPhone system by invitation from existing users.
