The European regulator next week will begin reviewing ethical and scientific standards during a trial of Russia’s Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine. According to media reports, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) will analyze the standards that were applied during clinical trials of the vaccine.
In turn, the scientific journal Lancet in early February published the results of the third phase of clinical trials of the Sputnik V vaccine. The scientists confirmed its high efficacy (91.6%) and safety.
In addition, the Russian vaccine has already been approved in 60 countries of the world. They are populated by more than 1.5 billion people.
