Estonian Defense Minister Juri Luik said the country is concerned about the plans of US President Donad Trump to reduce US troops in Germany. About this writes TASS.

“If we talk about security policy, then our opponents may regard this as a wrong signal,” the minister said. According to him, “for the alliance, these troops here in Europe are very important.”

Earlier, US President Donald Trump called a condition under which America would not withdraw its troops from Germany. According to him, for this, Berlin should allocate more funds for defense and not violate the agreement on military budgets within the framework of NATO.

Trump also said that he plans to reduce the number of US troops in Germany to 25 thousand people. Currently in the Federal Republic of Germany are 34.5 thousand US troops.
