Famous Hollywood actor, singer and playwright Billy Porter, has become the face of a capsule collection of gender-neutral shoes in collaboration with the popular Jimmy Choo brand. The release of the line was timed to coincide with the start of Pride Month, a campaign dedicated to the LGBT+ community.
The collection includes Bryelle ankle boots, Britney platform shoes, Love pumps and Foxley loafers as well as a Derek bag available in several shades.
The shoes can be worn by women and men alike – the line ranges in sizes 36 to 45, and prices range from $550 to $825.
“This line is dedicated to my mother, who, as a disabled woman, dreamed of walking in high-heeled shoes. She never got to fulfill that dream, but I got to be her confidante for the whole world to see it,” Billy said.
The iconic shoe brand will make a $100,000 donation to Trevor Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing suicide among LGBT youth, as part of its partnership with the actor.
