Florida sets a new record – 10,000 new cases of coronavirus per day

The Florida Department of Health on Thursday confirmed 10,109 new cases of COVID-19 in the state. This figure hits another record, the total number of confirmed cases in Florida reached 169 106.

Earlier on Saturday, the largest number of patients per day was registered – 9,585 cases. On Thursday, local doctors announced a new record peak in infections and 67 new deaths, bringing the total death toll in the state to 3,617.

More than half of coronavirus cases in Florida have been reported in five counties: Miami Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, Hillsborough, and Orange.

Local authorities are threatening to close the business again for 2 weeks if businesses continue to not follow the quarantine rules.
