For Thanksgiving, Zoom will remove the 40-minute limit for free calls

Holidays are coming, and one technology company makes a great gift for everyone – especially valuable during a pandemic. Zoom will remove the limit for free 40 minutes in conferences.

Zoom has announced that it will remove the limit on the number of Thanksgiving meetings so that “family meetings are not interrupted”. The video communications company announced on Twitter that the limit will be lifted worldwide on November 26, Thanksgiving.

Usually the platform offers free meetings of no more than 40 minutes, after which participants can simply start another free meeting, making it the most popular choice for video conferencing on the market. Paid plans range from $150 to $200 per year for an unlimited number of minutes at meetings.

According to Johns Hopkins University, in the U.S. the number of patients with coronavirus has exceeded 11 million cases, more than 240,000 deaths have been recorded.
