Ford invests $ 100 million in Missouri plant to produce electric vans

The investment is part of Ford’s plans to invest more than $ 11.5 billion in electric vehicles through 2022.

Ford has announced new investments of $ 3.2 billion in all-electric vehicles such as the van and an all-electric version of the F-150 pickup truck. The electric van will go on sale in late 2021, followed by the F – 150 a year later.

The first production commercial Ford Transit van will be unveiled at the Ford Kansas City Assembly plant on April 30, 2014 in Claycomo, Missouri. Ford plans to invest $ 100 million in this plant to create conditions for the production of all-electric Transt models.

“We take our most iconic cars and use all-electric technology to provide customers with even greater performance and capabilities,” said Kumar Galhotra, Ford’s President of American and international markets.
