Former French president was hospitalized

Former French President Valerie Giscard d’Estaing was hospitalized, 94-year-old politician was hospitalized in Tours on Sunday, November 15.

Giscard d’Estaing was taken to hospital from his residence in the Loire-et-Cher department in western France. So far, nothing is known about the reasons for hospitalization. The Tura hospital center does not comment on the information.

In September, the ex-president of the republic was already hospitalized in the Paris hospital of Georges Pompidou due to a mild lung infection. Then the doctors ruled out his infection with the coronavirus. A few days later, Giscard d’Estaing was discharged from the hospital.

Valerie Giscard d’Estaing was president of France from 1974-1981, succeeding Georges Pompidou. He was succeeded by François Mitterrand.
