Former German minister caught in plagiarism scandal

Former German Minister for Family, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth Franziska Giffai has been stripped of her academic degree.

In particular, the Free University of Berlin decided to deprive Giffay of his degree because of plagiarism, which was revealed in her doctoral thesis from 2010.

The former minister was accused of obtaining the degree by fraudulent means. It is also specified that her doctoral thesis did not mention the authors.
