Michael Cohen, a former Trump lawyer, has been returned to prison because he has violated the conditions of his house, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
The former president’s lawyer was transferred from ordinary custody to home arrest in March, when the coronavirus pandemic began, and the outbreak hit US prisons. Cohen could remain under house arrest only if all the rules were followed. It turned out that he had maliciously violated them, so he was returned to Brooklyn Prison. Michael Cohen was caught in Le Bilboquet restaurant, although he did not have the right to leave the house at all.
Cohen was sentenced to imprisonment until November 2021 after he pleaded guilty to several charges, including fraud.
